The only good thing I got out of this was your ability to draw. The jokes were dry and uninspired. The Colossi sounded like bored morons.
This started out with a lot of potential and pretty much died after the first encounter. 4/10 stars for the review....3/5 for the score.

I really like this. I'm a big fan of Defense games and they say the best defense is a good offense...And when your offense consists of all 4 epic Monsters it don't get better then that. A couple problems I do have is that once you get a few upgraded long range units there is no need for hand-to-hand units. But thats only if you spam all long range at once. If you keep your self in check and balance your force as you go it makes for fun strategies. Also I love all the spells save for the Rain of Arrows...I just feel like there should have been some more arrows really, but im not saying it wasn't useful when used properly. Also the fireball seemed like it was gonna become obsolete fast and as it turns out that is my most used spell next to the healing one. I wish when I did newgame+ that my money transfered over, would have shaved off a few hours in farming for gold. Their are only 3 units I could not find any use for no matter how much I tried. The Zombies and the two floating crystals.
The Zombies are just to slow which makes sense cause their zombies but even their attacks were so slow they would tend to get wiped out before they could do anything.
The Lighting Crystal really let me down once I maxed it and it only had one when they can throw 2 or 3 at a time at me. By its self it had trouble on the first stage...with other stuff it was useless cause it could not keep up at all cause of the speed difference and attack time. Same with the Healing Crystal...by its self it was too slow to get to anything to effectively heal it where as some enemies had like 2 or 3 coming down the field doing a decent job of healing.
Those 3 things aside I really love this game and would like to see the series continue. Also if you had more customized Lords with some stats and Armor and a bigger map with a few more spells and units I could see this being a better DLC for PS3 or Xbox...or my PSP...cause with a few improvements Id happily pay 10 bucks for this. And on a closing note make the Lord more important...like say if he dies you can't cast any spells any more till he comes back...THAT would make a huge difference on Strategy.

I only got to level 4 cause i have to go back to work but its WAYYYYYYYYY to slow
and having to pick the direction i face before my turn is over dosent make sense. In one instance i moved behined a guy and faced in a differant direction to help block he buddy after i attacked and killed him...but after my attack i was still facing his direction in stead of the direction i had chossen based on my need ofr defense. Also the spells take to long considering there wasnt even an animation for it...i mean a 3 seconed count to cast a fire spell where all the mage does is dip his staff a little is not cool. Good game though cant wait to get off work so i can play some more
